Gen_37:20 The thing that most aggravated Joseph’s brothers was not that he was their father’s favorite or that he had ratted on them but that he had a dream. People have problems with folks that have dreams and look for more in life than they have. They decided to kill him and then lie about what happened but look at the reason they give. Their thoughts were that if they killed him that they could see what would become of his dreams. They weren’t killing their brother they were killing the dreamer. They weren’t killing the dreamer they wanted to kill the dream. I wonder how many “men of God” feel inadequate to fulfill the Great Commission and for that reason must kill the dreamer and the dream of world evangelism so as not to feel that they have failed. Don’t kill the dream–learn how to live the dream.
